For the past couple of months, I’ve been working on my very first styled inspiration wedding photoshoot! If you don’t know what that is, it’s a mock/faux/fake wedding that is set up according to a special theme, or inspiration of the designer!
Let me tell you, this whole thing has been a huge learning experience–one that has given me a lot more of respect for wedding coordinators and designers! I’ve always found their work amazing, but trying to plan a “sample” wedding in a sense (that doesn’t even include all the details of a wedding), has made me realize how humongous their prep work really is–all that research and coordinating with vendors can be quite stressful! At the end of the day, all the craziness and hard work was definitely worth it, but I definitely realized that my “calling” is definitely the photography aspect. I like being creative and thinking up themes, and doing/planning small things, but I can already see that planning a wedding exceeds my abilities (and perhaps sanity)! Capturing moments and being behind the camera is definitely my comfort zone!
It has been quite a stressful past two weeks trying to coordinate things and figure out how to go about doing my first styled shoot, but with the help of amazing vendors and talented friends, the actual photoshoot day ended up absolutely perfect. I was incredibly blessed by all the help that I had throughout it! I can’t wait to share with you all the wonderful faces that I got the chance to work with!
So here’s a little sneak peak of what I’m working on! Feel free to comment and let me know what you think the theme was! We’re hoping to have it published on a blog (Lord-willing!), so I can’t share too much, but stay tuned to hear more about it, see one or two more sneak peeks, and to see when the final blog goes up! :)
Now I won’t give away the exact theme of the shoot, or my fabulous vendors just yet, but I will give you the names of my fantastic models of the day:
Sam(antha), Wilhelm, and the incredible 5-year-old beauty, London!
The three of them, along with all the decor and items the vendors gave us, rocked this shoot! The venue was beautiful! The decor was beautiful! The cake was beautiful! The dress was beautiful!
