I had the pleasure of attending a beautiful bridal shower last weekend for my boyfriend’s sister, Stephanie! I wasn’t able to stay very long because I had a photoshoot that same day, but I was able to take a couple before I left! :)
The shower was held in the backyard of Auntie Carol and Uncle Bobby, two amazingly welcoming people from John and Stephanie’s home church! Their backyard was absolutely beautiful! I wish I took more of the rest of it! :)
Steph looked beautiful as she came in and was showered with an abundance of gifts and love from her close friends and family! Congrats Steph & Derek! Can’t wait until your wedding! :)
Hydrangeas, as I was told by Mrs. Kwok, are Steph’s favorites! The flower assortments were hand crafted by Steph’s friends and family and were SUCH a beautiful touch to the table decorations–not to mention the sweet photos of Steph & Derek’s younger years. ;)
I came early with Mrs. Kwok and came in time to help out with finishing up decorations with Steph’s bridesmaids. :) Her bridesmaid, Jasmine, cut out these awesome tissue paper flowers that Mrs. Kwok and I had the duty of “fluffing.” I like to consider myself pretty crafty when I need to be, but these were pretty difficult to fluff evenly. Apparently Stephanie is the queen of making these! Too bad she couldn’t have helped. ;)
Part of the shower games was to bringa pair of underwear for the new bride! Check out THIS awesome pair that a friend brought!
Alas! When Steph finally arrived, everyone was so glad to see her! :)
Thankfully, I was able to participate in my favorite part of events: FOOD. ;) Her awesome sister, Jennifer, prayed over the food, and the party began! :)
The food was SO delicious! The main dishes were catered by Shakkas, a Hawaiian restaurant known for their tasty Mochiko Chicken! :)
As Stephanie made her rounds to the tables, she stopped and fed this little guy. :)
Elsa, one of Steph’s bridesmaids then began the gift opening time!
Stephanie was showered with a ton of beautifully wrapped presents! I literally couldn’t see her entirely from where I was sitting! Her head popped out from among the presents on the table! (& there were a bunch more sitting on the floor!)
And this is where I sadly had to make my exit to make it on time for my photoshoot with Kristy (which you can view here)!
I had such a blessed time getting to meet and catch up with Steph’s lovely family and friends! It excites me to see how God is just smiling down on her and Derek as their wedding day approaches! :)
Happy Monday! :)
