A Glimpse of My New Packaging

Ever wonder what you really receive when you hire a wedding photographer? Every wedding photographer packages their finished product differently, so sometimes it’s a surprise about what you’re receiving depending on who you work with! Since I provide only high resolution digital copies in my original package collections, I recently upgraded from CDs to USBs!

Perhaps you are wondering why make such a big deal about converting to USBs? For one, I think USBs allow for much cuter packaging!  I was originally hand crafting CD boxes to store them using thick scrapbook paper! This was fun, but sometimes it got tough with the more CDs there were!  Secondly, I love this upgrade because it makes things easier on both my clients and me! When I started out last year, I gave my wedding clients their images on CDs, which don’t hold much. So I’d be burning 5 or 6 CDs per client with only about 150-200 photos on each CD. It made things difficult to separate and organize the images! But now, with the handy dandy USBs, I’ve been able to put the entire wedding collection in one place for my clients to view them! What’s great is that they’re sweet little gifts to my clients as well! :) Each USB holds 8G!

While I’m constantly looking to upgrade and better my packaging to my clients, I wanted to share what my first step has been so far, and what my current clients are receiving in the mail!

This example is from the Vow Renewal I did not too long ago! You can view it here!

One of my favorite past times is doodling! So to help personalize the packages, I’ve been doodling names and initials into the boxes! :)

One day I hope to upgrade to personalized USBs that have Margarette Sia Photography etched into them!

I love personalizing my packaging to my clients because it allows me to thank my clients for hiring me in another way! :)

Happy Friday!
