Growing up, my mother absolutely LOVED taking me in to the studios to get photos taken of me! When Stephen came along, she had the same obsession… and then again when Jonathan came around. But as time would tell and things got busier, it became harder and harder for my mom to take us to get some photos taken.
What are the perks of having a daughter who’s a photographer? Free family photo session! ;)
This year for Christmas, I decided that I was going to give my mother the one thing I knew she would absolutely love. I snuck the boys out for a quick photoshoot, and with the help of John, we were able to get some group photos together! :)
Getting these handful of “nice” pictures of me and the boys came with a LOT of strife.. and when I mean a lot, I definitely mean, a lot. There was so much going on it was so crazy trying to get their attention! It also doesn’t help that I come from a really crazy family. We love to have fun. So.. this is a glimpse of what this day looked like:
No matter what I tried… this is what happened when I tried to get us all together…
Stephen liked throwing these berries at John every chance he got… so this was also very distracting! Haha
I have learned never to ask my brothers this question: “How about you guys hug me?”
When I got ONE to cooperate… the other would be off doing something like this:
And again… he liked to grab these orange berries to throw at John, as well!
It doesn’t help that this is the example they follow: this is my reaction to when people give me props… Jonathan gave me this stick. Why not make it an antler?
The day was cold, and we were all antsy to get frozen yogurt afterwards! This was probably my most difficult photoshoot of the year! But it was all worth it to see my parent’s faces light up as they read the book I put together and printed for their Christmas present! :)
I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas with your loved ones this year!
MERRY CHRISTMAS from my family to yours! :)
Happy Friday!
