Happy New Year! | Best of 2013

WOW! I cannot believe that a whole year has passed! This year being my first official year of business, I’ve learned and grown so much more as a photographer than I could have ever imagined! I am so thankful for the clients (and now friends) that have allowed me to photograph them for special occasions and during their momentous life events!

I just wanted to take this time to highlight the amazing clients I’ve had and the special highlight details of the weddings & proposals that I simply LOVED from each one! :) (There’s also 2 SPECIAL PREVIEWS of two blog posts that are coming soon from this year at the end of this post!)

For the first section, I’d love to highlight the beautiful couples I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to work with! (I’m going in chronicle order!)

THE LOVE SECTION | 2013 ENGAGEMENTS, WEDDINGS & PROPOSALS

1. ISAAC & BRESHON | CANDID COUPLE & FUN FIRST DANCE
I had a blast with this beautiful couple! Their engagement session had my favorite candid shots! Check out their sweet e-session that was featured early this year here!

I also absolutely loved their wedding’s first dance! Their entire wedding was so sweet and you could truly see how comfortable they were with one another! Their first dance was so sweet and fun! I loved it! Check out their full wedding here! :)

2. FRANKIE & EVE | BEST PROPS & DIY WEDDING DETAILS

Frankie & Eve brought along so many cute props for their engagement session! This also translated into their beautiful wedding, where Eve made many of the centerpieces and details! I absolutely love props & those DIY weddings! Check out their e-session here & their wedding here! :)

3. WES & SANDY | SWEETEST PROPOSAL REACTION

This couple was simply TOO CUTE. I LOVED the reactions of both Wes & Sandy during their sweet s’mores proposal in Coronado Island! Their faces were priceless! Wes’s face was filled with sincerity and love and Sandy was so filled with so much overflowing joy! Check out their surprise proposal here! :)

4. TITUS & GRACE | CLASSIEST PROPOSAL

How many people can say they have fancy picnics on a boat & get PROPOSED TO on one!? Titus & Grace had the classiest proposal featured on my blog on this special boat they rented with their friends and family participating on the pier! Check out their proposal here! :)

5. SERGIO & ROSA | FIRST INDOOR WEDDING & SWEETEST CEREMONIAL “FIRST LOOK”

I can’t begin to say how truly touching Sergio & Rosa’s wedding was when Sergio saw his beautiful bride for the first time. It moved me and many in the audience to tears! It was also the very first indoor wedding I got to capture! :) Take a look at their beautiful wedding here!

6. BRIAN & KAMAN | MOST CLASSIC LOOKING COUPLE & FAVORITE THEME

When I first heard the colors of Brian & Kaman’s wedding, I was so excited to see what they would do with it–and they did wonderfully! But what I fell in love with most was how classic Kaman & Brian looked together! Their love for one another and their fun and loving characteristics were so beautifully enhanced by the overall theme of the entire wedding! :)

7. SAM & GRACE | CRAFTIEST PROPOSAL

What amazed me from this proposal between Sam & Grace was the amount of effort Sam put into making things for their proposal! He went BIG to make Grace’s special proposal extra special! He hand crafted an awesome picnic table as well as a cute doll that hid away her ring! LOVED this proposal! :) So sweet! Check it out here!

8. CHRIS & PRISCILLA | MOST TEARS SHED AT A PROPOSAL

The amount of emotion that was shown at this proposal was so beautiful! Priscilla was so truly touched by this special proposal Chris had for her! It was even more beautiful to hear them speak about their love for one another at their surprise Engagement Dinner! The decor at this proposal was also so beautiful! With the help of her dear friends, this proposal was just… beautiful! (Yes, I purposefully used beautiful 4 times!) Check out their full proposal here!

9. PHILIP & RUBY | MOST PERSONALIZED ENGAGEMENT & WEDDING

I love how much Ruby and Philip stay true to who they are as a couple! In both their engagement and wedding, you see truly sweet and “dorky” they are as a couple! Check out their e-session here! :)

10. LUCAS & IMARI | MOST ELABORATE SURPRISE PROPOSAL

Lucas hid the fact that he was coming to visit Imari from Hawaii for months with the help of mostly all of her friends and family! He more importantly hid the fact that he would be PROPOSING that same day he revealed himself to her! Check out this beautiful surprise proposal here! :)

THE PORTRAITS SECTION | 2013 PORTRAIT SESSIONS

I can’t really give awards for these because all of the dashing gentleman and beautiful ladies that I got to photograph for their graduation photos & head shots were so awesome! :) I also had such lovely families I got to work with as well! Check out the wonderful clients I’ve gotten to work with, starting from the beginning of the year and moving along through to here!
