Ah! I am so excited to share this photo set of the adorable kids I had the joy of photographing last Saturday at Quail Gardens in Encinitas, CA!! I couldn’t stop smiling while I was editing these kids’ portrait session! It was my first time at the Gardens, and oh my! It was beautiful!!
And to top it off, Lauren, the little kiddos’ mom dressed them in theee cutest outfits and brought such awesome props! I loveddd it all! Check out their little school girl & boy outfits! Mallory’s polkadot beret and Dayton’s preppy little cardigan were so stinkin’ adorable!
Meet Mallory and Dayton! While Dayton was a bundle of energy, running around and giggling everywhere he could, Mallory was a sweet little thing! She did get pretty energetic during the shoot, though, crawling over to try and see what leaves taste like from time to time! ;)

The Polar Bear Express is a special book for this family! I love meaningful props! :) Aren’t these kids so precious?!
And then it was time for Dayton to have some solos! He was such a little cutie, but man, he loved to run! Thankfully I had my “baby expert” Gail, who works with these kids regularly, to help out and instruct him on a few of his favorite poses! ;)
And then Lauren busted out these awesome nerd glasses! So cute!!
Lauren also made this awesome little sign out of drift wood! :)
Dayton had fun playing with the post, but after struggling to get it into the dirt, he decided to run off and do greater things…
Like find bugs in the plants with it! ;)
He tried calling the bugs to him with the sign since he didn’t know what it read! Haha!
After a bit of rambunctiousness, Lauren eased him back to the original scene to take a few! She wasn’t anticipating being in the photoshoot since this was for the kids, but I couldn’t help but take advantage of this moment! If only Peter was able to come on the day of the shoot! Such sweet candids!
Dayton’s eyes are ridiculous. Look how gorgeous they are! He has hazel-y green eyes and Mallory has blue! What beautiful childrenn!

She needed a bit of help from time to time, though, so thankfully Lauren was willing to help out once again and be in some of my shots! :)

At the end of the day, I couldn’t help but smile! I had such a fun time photographing the kids, and Lauren was such a joy and pleasure to work with! Ah! What beautiful children! I can’t wait to have the opportunity to photograph their entire beautiful family! :)
