Frankie and Eve first met at Corona Del Mar during a mutual friend’s birthday party, and have since then, flourished in their relationship. As one of the groomsmen put it at their wedding reception, Frankie fell in love with Eve very quickly, and his love for her (and hers for him) is so evident to the passerby-er, (or to a new friend & photographer!). After two years of dating, Frankie proposed to Eve where they first met, and I had the pleasure of photographing them there as well! You can take a look at their engagement session here! :)
The beautiful day of their wedding started off a bit cloudy, but thankfully it was cool! As the bridesmaids and groomsmen woke up to begin preparing for the special unity between their dear friends, I arrived on set with John, and the videographers (and friends), Chris and Grace! Grace and I stayed with Eve and her bridesmaids and Chris and John headed off with the groomsmen!
Eve was quite the helpful bride. She helped everyone get ready before she herself got ready! And she took the liberty to steam her own dress and do a few things here and there. I definitely witnessed her heart of service that morning. :) She actually also made quite a few of the things she wore, and some of the things used at the reception! My eyes were amazed to see that she made her bridesmaids gifts, which included a customized hangar with their names on it, and a cute little garter similar to that which she made for herself! She also made the beautiful sash belt that she wore! Although not all that was used for the wedding was DIY, I would definitely call her a DIY bride. The things that she did make were beautiful!
Frankie and his groomsmen were great, according to John! :) When he and Chris arrived at their rented apartment, they were greeted with, “We’re ready! Just waiting on you guys! What do you want us to do first?” Such willing and ready gentleman! :) They were even mostly matching in some awesome bro-tanks with Frankie’s face on them! The guys, who normally really do often finish more quickly than the girls do, finished rather early and were able to take a walk to the beach to take some of their groomsmen photos with the groom! :)
As everything fell into place, the sun came out, and Eve was an absolutely beautiful bride! It warmed my heart to see Frankie and Eve together. Again, like it was during the engagement photoshoot, there was just such a deep connection between the two of them, and I could see so clearly how God truly set them here on earth for one another. “I have found that whom my soul loves.” Solomon 3:4. It was a beautiful wedding, and union of Frankie and Eve! I was so grateful for this opportunity to capture their love!
I couldn’t get enough of her shoes! I loveee detailed accessories! And these shoes were so cute! Who doesn’t love a glittery heel? :) I don’t own a pair, but I certainly love to look at them!
With her own hands, Eve and another helper, hand crafted those hangers to write her name-to-be, and the names of all her bridesmaids! All their work paid off! The hangers looked BEAUTIFUL!
Her dress, by Maggie Sottero, was also gorgeous! They had very dramatic, yet dreamy, folds all along the bottom half of a very structured and well-fitted top. :) (Side note: This dress was SO HEAVY! Or maybe it’s my lack of arm strength! The 5 minutes it took to put that dress up there made me break a sweat, and it felt like FOREVER! Haha! Props to you, Eve! You wore it and walked in it flawlessly! Definitely could’ve fooled me if I didn’t pick it up!)
Her bridesmaids wore an equally awesome shoe–glitter-ified, and strappy! :)
The hangers also had a hand written date painted on! Such beautiful details!
Each bridesmaid had a unique up-do that fit very nicely next to one another! Mmm the back of these girls’ heads were RIDICULOUS-LY GOOD. ;) The hair stylist is a family friend who is actually a nurse! I would’ve never known that she didn’t do hair professionally on the side! She worked so naturally! :)
Eve and the girls got their make up done by Tiffany of Flower Jump, and two other women studying in beauty school. :)
Part of the process of getting Eve’s hair the way it looked for her wedding, was teasing it! It was amazing to see how this craziness turned out to be as structured and beautiful as it ended out being! :)
I guess it reminded me of how sometimes in life, things get crazy, and seem ridiculous, but at the end, after lessons learned, things come together to fit quite nicely (which also reminds me of one of my favorite verses, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4)!
Love how Eve posed for that shot! :)
We headed to Bella Collina for Eve and the girls to get dressed! Putting on Eve’s gown took quite some effort!
It was so awesome to see all her bridesmaids help her into her wedding dress! Eve looked like a princess. :)
Doesn’t she look stunning?!
Meanwhile, across town…
He didn’t want to part with his Frankie tank! ;)
Time to head to the beach and take a few photos before heading to the hotel!
After the groomsmen were ready, they helped decorate the place. Ever wonder who puts the rose petals in the fountains? :)
Once the beautiful bride and the dashing groom were ready, we led them off to do their “First Look”! While I equally love the moment of the groom seeing the bride for the first time at the alter, the First Look is something I love because it’s a more intimate moment where the groom gets to see his beautiful bride before the wedding ceremony! :)
I melted seeing Frankie so ecstatic to see his bride in her wedding dress! He looked at her with such endearing eyes! Something I loved seeing while working with Frankie and Eve was their attention to each other! They were constantly helping each other, checking on each other, and giving each other stolen glances filled with love. Although there were a lot of people around them, it truly looked as if they didn’t notice. They were at a party of two.
These moments were perfect, and Frankie’s expressions show that. :)
We snuck away on a Wedding Golf Cart that held 6 seats–perfect for me and the team!
After our little mini photoshoot with Eve and Frankie, we headed off to the reception! :)
Just one of the examples of how Frankie and Eve take care of each other. :) This happened several times during the day.
During their first dance as a married couple, Frankie and Eve exchanged words meant for only each other. And as we watched them dance away, we saw how intimate their relationship was between the two of them.
After the garter and bouquet toss, the night was filled with dancing!
Besides the blurriness of this shot, I love this photo of Frankie and Eve in the photobooth!
